Welcome to my webpage

Hi everybody!

My name is Fabian Kindermann and I'm working as a research and teaching assistant at the Department of Economics and Business Administration at University of Würzburg. This webpage will give you some information about me and my work at university and will keep you up to date about my latest research activities.

In August 2005, I started to work at the Chair of Public Finance with Prof. Dr. Hans Fehr. My focus in research lies on numerical simulations of computable OLG models, especially on analyzing macroeconomic, welfare and efficiency effects of pension and tax reforms. This is also what my diploma thesis was about. However, I'm also interested in other computational methods in economics, like. e.g. solving real business cycle models and anything else we can do with computers.

In October 2003, I began my academic studies in Economathematics (which actually is a combination of Mathematics, Economics and computer sciences) at University of Würzburg. They give me a strong background in numerical maths, statistics and computer sciences which is very useful for my research work. From September 2006 to June 2007, I complemented my studies by visiting University Pompeu Fabra as an Erasmus student. I received my Diploma degree (Master equivalent) from University of Würzburg and started my Ph.D. studies in Economics at Chair of Public Finance in August 2008.
