News Research Visit I'm currently in Paris (October 12 - 17) for a research visit with Najat El Mekkaoui de Freitas at Université Paris Dauphine .   Conferences 2009 I'll present papers at the following conferences this year: January 28-30:   "Netspar Pension Workshop" organized by Netspar, Amsterdam, The Netherlands. May 28-29: "Workshop on Pension and Saving", Université Paris Dauphine, Paris, France. June 8-9: "Netspar Pension Workshop" organized by Netspar, Stockholm, Sweden. July 10-11:  "Rethinking the Privatization of Social Security" organized by CESifo, Venice, Italy. August 13-16:   "65th Annual Congress of the IIPF", Cape Town, South Africa.     Netspar Junior Research Fellow Today I received the acceptance for my Junior Research Fellowship at the Netspar, Netherlands.   Federal Financial Equalization Yesterday evening, we released our brand new software for simulating Germany's Federal Financial Equalization System. The project's website is www.laenderfinanzausgleich.com (everything is in german). The software is based on an older Fortran program I reimplemented in Java. I furthermore added a new user interface an the possibility to store data permanently.   Netspar Pension Workshop At the end of January 2009 I will present our new working paper "Pension Funding and Individual Accounts in Economies with Life Cyclers and Myopes" at the Netspar Pension Workshop in Amsterdam.   More...
